Mark your calendars! |
It's hard to believe, but the 2009 show is over already. We had a great time, and want to thank all of the volunteers that helped make it so successful!
Here are a few pictures of the 2009 show
LOCATION: Main Street, west of Highway 56. This is not the same location as last year. We think car owners and spectators will appreciate the ease of access - early-birds, follow signs to the registration tent. Everyone else, follow the early-birds.
Entrance Fee: $5.00 (includes one meal ticket)
*Dash plaques for the first 75 cars*
Registration opens at 10:00am
Awards: 2:30pm

Within walking distance:
Food and refreshments: We plan to have meals available for car owners and their guests at the firehall.
The WCHS will be serving lunch, as well. This is an annual favorite, and if you plan to go, we recommend that you go early!
If you're looking for something specific, there will be many food vendors on Main Street just to the east of the car show. In addition, Ginny's Drive-In is one block north of the car show - a local favorite for their excellent burgers and ice cream.
Activities: If you’re interested in staying for other activities
after the car show, there’s no shortage of things to do! You can find the most current
Survival Days schedule by clicking the button. Schedules will also be available at the registration desk.
We highly recommend a trip to the WCHS Museum for either a guided or self-guided tour. We consider it a "hidden gem" of West Concord and well worth a special trip. The museum is located on the corner of Olive St. and First St. - about three blocks south of the car show.
The museum will be open for tours on Saturday - free admission!
Within a short drive:
There are many historical buildings to the
southeast of West Concord. The community of Wasioja was the first settlement
in Dodge County, and contains an actual Civil War recruiting station, as
well as the remains of the county’s only post-secondary institution. A
little farther is the city of Mantorville, with many restored shops, the
Dodge
County Historical Society, the famed Hubbell House restaurant, and much
more. Ask for directions, if you need them.
